Huawei to offer Android 2.2 phone in China in August

Chinese telecom equipment and handset maker Huawei will be releasing an Android 2.2 phone this August in China.

The unnamed seemingly lower-end 3G phone will be have a 2.8” QVGA capacitive display and – if the shot below from Engadget is what the final product will look like – will be dual-branded with Google and Huawei on the back.

Not huge news, but nice to see for Android fans in Asia nonetheless.
