HotelPal is a simple and elegant app that brings users the ability to find and book rooms across the planet from over 100,000 hotels.
To start room hunting, users can input the desired hotel location by postal code/zip code, city name or use the GPS feature to let the app find you. HotelPal also sports an interactive map of the world that’s able to display hotel results by simply holding your finger down on a location. By doing so, the app will place a pin the map with icons that contain the price range of the room.
When a search result comes back successful, HotelPal will show a parade of rooms at the bottom of the screen that each provide numerous glossy photos of the rooms, lobby and exterior plus the an in-depth description of the hotel.
Booking a room takes only seconds, and gives guests the option to choose a room by type; economy, deluxe or a high class luxury suite with hot tubs, full movie theatre and monkey butler. Additionally, within the settings, the currency can be changed along with the ability to filter results by distance, price, rating, date and the number of guests.
While there are over 100,000 hotels available, the app does appear to be very limited when searching hotels outside of North America, a drawback depending on where you travel. As an example, we couldn’t find any hotels available anywhere in Brazil or Scotland, and we only saw 1 hotel in London, England.
The HotelPal app is free, beautiful and it’s also available on the iPhone and Android, although those versions are not nearly has good-looking as the iPad app.
