Many social media dashboards exist for those managing multiple accounts, or who like to view their Twitter, Facebook and other social media accounts in a single place.
Tweetdeck, Seesmic and Co-Tweet are simply a few of the options one has at their disposal, but they are by no means my favorites.
I favor HootSuite, a web-based application (also with a fantastic iPhone and now, Android App), which recently added a host of new features for its web application:
- HTML5: HootSuite5’s use of HTML5 allows for faster page loads The new interface loads much quicker, and for the most part without much delay. .
- Geo-Search: HootSuite5 provides users with the ability to search based on location. This gives HootSuite users two options, geo-search, or a standard Twitter search if location is of no interest to you.
- Google Analytics: HootSuite5 builds on the basic analytics features already included in the service by adding one’s Google Analytics account meaning users can now track information on sites without leaving the site itself.
- Twitter Re-Tweets: HootSuite5 provides the choice of using the Twitter RT version or the standard RT feature, both options now allow one to add a comment to the RT.
- Facebook: One of the greatest features of HootSuite5 is its new Facebook features. Now one can add a thumbnails, titles, descriptions and more to an update posted to Facebook from Hootsuite.
After yesterday announcing Foursquare check-in availability for the HootSuite Lite iPhone app, today HootSuite will begin accepting requests to be a beta tester for Blackberry users.
A great move. I’ve signed up (you can too, here) and will be curious to see what the finished product looks like. With HootSuite’s continuing evolution, one can imagine Blackberry owners will be extremely pleased when all is said and done.
