Hootsuite has updated their Lite iPhone app to now allow users to check-in directly from the app to Foursquare and will display your check-in feed and history. The app also is optimized for iOS 4 fast switching.
The app also includes Preferences updates including native retweets. Interestingly, it seems as if the paid Hootsuite app hasn’t yet integrated these features (maybe it’s coming in the next 24 hours?). While there are other third-party apps that allow check-ins to Foursquare, Hootsuite is one of the largest – if not the largest – third party social media updating iPhone app to include this functionality. Hootsuite added Foursquare integration to their Web app back in March.
