It’s happening. It’s really happening. Eighteen years after ‘Final Fantasy VII’ stole our hearts, Square Enix has announced the game will finally get an official remake.

And no, not some Little Big Planet remake – a real one. At the Sony E3 announcement today, the company confirmed the game will arrive first to Playstation 4, with other platforms including the Xbox One and PC to follow.

There are no details on the release dates but holy crap just watch the trailer below and try to compose yourselves.

Update 6/15/2015: In its own press conference, Square Enix says the PC version of the original FF7 game will arrive on iOS this summer. No further details on the remake.
