Yesterday, Apple took to the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco to unveil the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The company also used the event as a platform to take the wraps off the Apple Watch Series 2 and a set of wireless headphones that were designed to compensate for the lack of an audio jack on its latest smartphones.
As you can imagine, a lot of loyal Apple customers were unhappy with the direction that the company is headed in.
Many criticised its decision to axe the jack, while others expressed their disdain for the design of the iPhone 7’s upgraded camera.
Personally speaking, I was actually very impressed with what the firm had come up with. I’d even go as far as to say that it’s one of my favourite keynotes to date.
Having said that, I do feel that pushing consumers to use Bluetooth or Lightning headphones is a very bad idea. Sure, you can always use a regular pair of earphones by rigging them up to a 3.5mm-to-Lightning adapter. However, it’s more than likely that when you need the converter the most, you won’t have it with you.
That’s enough of me jabbering on for now, though. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the iPhone 7 launch.
