After announcing the project as part of its ‘Originals’ initiative, Microsoft today revealed a little more about one of its upcoming TV shows based on the sci-fi shooter franchise Halo.
Called Halo Nightfall, this digital feature will be bundled in with every copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One. Ridley Scott is working on the project as an executive producer, while Sergio Mimica-Gezzan – known for his work on Battlestar Galactica and Heroes – directs.
Little is known about the series, although the company hinted that it would focus on the new character seen in the recent Halo 5: Guardians artwork.
It’s worth noting, however, that this isn’t the live action series that Steven Spielberg is producing. That’s a separate project being developed in partnership between 343 Industries and Amblin Television.
