Google’s Nexus 4 Wireless Charger is now available for sale in the Google Play store. For $59.99, customers can charge their Nexus 4 device wirelessly using the Qi inductive charger. The company says that it expects orders to begin shipping in less than one week.
At first glance, one might think of it as half of an 8-ball that you use when playing pool. On the other hand, it might appear to be half of Google’s Nexus Q, the social streaming music player the company announced last year at its Google I/O developer conference.
Used exclusively with the Nexus 4, the charger weighs just 130g and has a charging time of approximately 4 hours. With it, device owners need only place their Nexus 4 on the half-shaped orb to begin charging. This accessory is reminiscent of the Duracell Powermat and other devices that offer wireless power.
The charger comes with a power adapter (for use only within the United States or Canada) and a micro USB cable.
