Google has finally made the bold move and taken steps to making Google Tasks an application in its own right.
Tasks has until now played a rather small role in Gmail, iGoogle and Google Calendar, today that changes, although perhaps not as dramtically as we’d like.
Rather than giving Tasks its own URL at google.com/tasks, Google has instead introduced a full-screen version of the current Tasks iGoogle gadget. Meaning you’ll need to visit iGoogle every time you want to view Tasks in full screen. Silly.
Visiting gmail.com/tasks on your mobile however will take you to the appropriate version of Google Tasks.
Writing this I must admit to feeling a slight bit of bewilderment as to why I’m actually writing about it. Are you wondering why you’re reading it? Yeah, thought so.
