Google had initially responded to the ideas about search regulation in an article in the Financial Times. However, given that the article is behind the FT’s pay wall, it makes things a bit difficult.
Bearing that in mind, Google has now published the article, in its entirety, on the Google Public Policy blog. From the blog:
“Think about the word “jaguar” – what comes to mind? The animal? The car? A sports team? Now ask yourself: what is the best piece of literature ever written about jaguars? What about the best piece of literature ever written containing the word jaguar?”
There are so many great points in this article that it’s not even worth me trying to bring all of them together. Do yourself a favor and read the piece, then let us know what you think.
