Oh Google, you say the most amazing things so nonchalantly. Instead of trumpeting the forthcoming march of Google Docs to new devices with great fanfare, Google buried it deep in a bland blog post:
[…]today we demonstrated new mobile editing capabilities for Google Docs on the Android platform and the iPad. In the next few weeks, co-workers around the world will soon be able to co-edit files simultaneously from an even wider array of devices. [emphasis TNW]
At long last there will be a functional collaborative suite for iPad users. Before, writing on the iPad was always slightly stand-alone; syncing documents was a hassle. Now with Google Docs on the devices, working on continuing projects will be simple and productive.
The iPad might not yet be a business dream, but it is getting closer every day. Bring it on, Google.
