This is beginning to become a continuing theme here on TNWmicrosoft: wouldn’t it be great to have Microsoft’s promotional budget? To celebrate and push today’s launch of Kinect in Europe, Microsoft put on a demonstration for the ages.
In a potent mixture of celebrity attendance, use of ancient architecture and new technology, and crowd participation, Microsoft turned the famous ‘Karlsplatz‘ into a gigantic interactive Kinect installation for all to use and enjoy. We are just sorry that we missed it.
Of course, Kinect went on sale in the US last Thursday, and will launch in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore on the 18th. Microsoft expects to sell some 5 million Kinects this year alone. As the video will tell you, “du bist der Controller.”
