Fetchnotes makes it easier to share notes and to-do lists with friends and family

Fetchnotes makes it easier to share notes and to-do lists with friends and family

It’s been a while since we last caught up with Fetchnotes, the cross-platform app that lets you create notes quickly, for example by slapping a hashtag anywhere in a series of notes to groups them together.

Now, the Techstars company is rolling out a brand new iteration of its iOS app, as it looks to make productivity “as simple as writing a tweet”.

Thus far, Fetchnotes has largely been built around personal use-cases, but with this release, it’s going for the sharing and collaborative market by making it easier to organize notes among friends, families and teams.

For example, you can add something to your buddy’s to do list simply by mentioning their @username, email address or phone number, and appending a note with ‘#todo’. Address book integration essentially means you can share content with non-Fetchnotes users.

The latest update also reels in push notifications, so you’ll be informed when someone else shares a note with you, swipe actions to archive notes you don’t want in your main feed, and a general top-to-bottom design refresh.

Similar features will be added to the Web and Android incarnations “in the coming months”.
