Mark Zuckerberg to open Facebook’s F8 conference on April 30, while Internet.org will be participating too

Facebook is now accepting applications for its F8 developer conference on April 30 at the San Francisco Design Concourse.

Tickets are limited, so interested attendees can submit their applications and Facebook will choose from the list in order to have a “diverse mix” of developers. If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you’ll have to shell out $495 for a ticket.

Facebook also plans to livestream keynotes and afternoon sessions, so you can still keep up with the proceedings if you don’t score a ticket.

UPDATE: Mark Zuckerberg will be opening the morning keynote at F8, after which there will be more than 20 sessions led by Facebook engineers and product managers primarily focusing on topics to do with helping developers build, grow and monetize their apps.

The Internet.org Innovation Lab will also make an appearance at F8. This means that developers can test their apps in simulated environments and preview some of the lab’s new technologies before it opens to the public later this year.

After a three year hiatus, Facebook announced earlier this week that it is bringing back the conference. Unlike previous gatherings, this year’s event is “going back to its roots” to focus purely on developers.
