Facebook is upgrading their search box today by instantly delivering results based on what you are typing, without making you click through to the next page.
Think Google.com’s search suggestions, but inside of Facebook for all material that resides on the social network. It is lightning quick and brings in images with your searches for a powerful experience.
The search results are of course tied to your social graph, bringing you results that should be the most relevant to what you and your friends are fans of, friends with, or members of. Why not use all that data, right? Points to Facebook for mining our data for something other than advertisements at long last.

Of course, if you do not see what you are looking for in the first few results, you can click through on the bottom link to see a full search page. Warning, if you just hit enter, it works likes Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” capability. It will select the option that is highlighted, and that is by default the first result.
Expect for them to change that right away. This will be rolling out over the next few days, so sit tight if you do not have it yet.
