Facebook today announced its fifth official engineering team will be located in Boston, along with Menlo Park, Seattle, New York, and London. The group will start out small and will focus on challenging new infrastructure projects in areas like networking, storage, security, and language runtimes.

Facebook says Boston was “an easy choice” as the tech community is “world-class, from the incredible academic institutions to the vibrant startup ecosystem to the bevy of global companies who have teams here.” If you want to apply, check out Careers at Facebook.
