Evernote has updated its Hello business contact app for the iPhone with a new passcode lock feature for premium users, flash controls for taking photos of business cards and improved scanning capabilities.
Hello first arrived in 2011 and jumped to version 2.0 earlier this year with a new look and premium business card scanning. The scanning feature was offered for free for a limited time, and Evernote has extended the promotion.
Version 2.1, which hit the App Store on Thursday, adds a few minor improvements to the address book app. The software’s camera feature now has the iPhone’s built-in flash controls in order to let users take photos of glossy cards (which would otherwise reflect the flash). Evernote also says it has made adjustments to the business card scanner in order to optimize performance on the iPhone 4.

Premium users can also now set a passcode lock that will appear each time the app is opened. It’s a nice touch for professional users who may be worried about the privacy of the people in their contact list.
Additional changes to the app include the ability to update the title and organization fields for contacts and general stability fixes.
