At its E3 press conference on Monday, Electronic Arts unveiled Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, a new third-person action game that will launch first on Xbox One.
The new title breaks from the traditional PvZ game play, allow players to take direct control of plants as they launch an attack on their zombie enemies.
Developer PopCap Games has been moving quickly with the hit franchise. It recently released Plants vs. Zombies Adventures on Facebook and is set to launch Plants vs. Zombies 2 on mobile devices this July.
EA acquired PopCap in 2011 not long after the original Plants vs. Zombies became a smash hit.
