Buy an ad for your startup in the next issue of TNW Magazine: bidding starts at $1

Buy an ad for your startup in the next issue of TNW Magazine: bidding starts at $1

Our writers and designers are hard at work on the next issue of TNW Magazine, our monthly digital tablet magazine. We now have more than 110,000 installs on iOS alone and in December alone we generated more than 145,000 sessions, which means that the magazine was opened and read 1.3 times per install. Unfortunately we don’t track individual page-views yet, but as you can see the numbers are impressive.

The next issue is titled ‘START,’ and we affectionately call it ‘The Startup Issue’. As you can guess it will be about startups and entrepreneurship, and because of that we wanted to do something special for young companies.

TNW Magazine is completely free (although we accept donations in the form of optional paid subscriptions) and supported by advertising. For the next issue we would like to do something unique for startups that don’t have a marketing budget yet, but do want to garner some extra promotion. This is what we came up with:

  • We will have 10 ads in the next issue
  • You can bid on a full-page ad with a hyperlink
  • The starting bid is $1
  • The top 10 bids will get a full-page ad
  • Ads are displayed in the magazine ordered by highest bid

To give you an idea of how great a deal this could be; a normal full-page ad starts at $2500. You can only buy an ad as a startup or entrepreneur with a web service or app. If you are unsure if you fit this definition feel free to contact me. And don’t forget to download a free copy of the magazine.

Now here is where it gets messy; find the highest bid in the comments and leave a comment with your bid and make sure to mention which startup you want to promote. I’ll keep an eye on the comments and collect the highest bids and contact them at the end of next week. This should be fun… :-)

P.S.: apparently our commenting system thinks it is highly suspicious when you post a comment with a dollar sign ($) and a hyperlink. Too many ‘My sister makes $50 an hour working from home. Check this out http://EasyMoneyScam.com’ spam comments did that. So when posting a bid just mention your company name and the number but leave out the dollar sign. Sorry about that.
