Good news for Windows Phone users in the UK – the BBC has finally brought its iPlayer Radio app to Windows Phone 8, almost two years after it first launched for iPhone. Though iPlayer Radio was available via the main iPlayer mobile app, this sees the standalone version launch for the first time on Microsoft’s mobile operating system.
However, as with the main iPlayer app, it seems as though the Radio incarnation for Windows Phone is also a mobile Web wrapper, so it’s not a completely native experience. But it’s finally on Windows Phone, which is a start.
You can listen to live radio or catch up on the past seven days, and includes all BBC Radio stations. It also works across WiFi and cellular networks.
