The blogosphere was abuzz with some analyst predicting that Steve B will be attending Apple’s developer conference WWDC. Apparently not.

To put an end to the speculation Microsoft’s official twitter account tweeted the following:

Steve Ballmer not speaking at Apple Dev Conf. Nor appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Nor riding in the Belmont. Just FYI.

Though this does not say anything about someone else from Microsoft being at WWDC.

For the past few hours there have been several posts about why someone from Microsoft would attend the WWDC. Silverlight is one, the other is Microsoft might be enabling Visual Studio 2010 might allow developers to code applications for the iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone.

Edit: Unfortunately Bake Pie doesn’t bake well.
