Any company planning on entering a market that is thoroughly dominated by a single player must have a difficult task in differentiating its product from the market leader.

This is certainly the problem that Asus must have with its entry into the the tablet market.

The company chose to hit the problem head on by renaming its new product, a week ago, from Eee Tablet to Eee Note, a more accurate title going by the published specifications, that may have created its own niche market in the process.
