Apple Releases New “iPad Is…” Commercial, Flipboard Goes Mainstream.

Apple has launched a new iPad advertising campaign, focusing on third-party apps that help to complete the iPad experience.

Entitled “iPad is Delicious“, the commercial gives exposure to Flipboard, a “game changing” newsreader that we covered when it launched, helping take the app beyond tech-oriented users and go mainstream.

Twitter also gets a mention, as does Fruit Ninja HD, the ad really reinforces how diverse and rich the App Store has become.

We hope that Flipboard’s servers are ready for the inevitable rush of signups to the service. When they launched, the sheer number of new users crippled Flipboard’s servers, meaning some users could not use the service for a good few days.
