Apple invests $55m in 100-acre solar farm

Apple is continuing its push into the renewable energy realm with a $55 million investment in a 100-acre, 17.5 megawatt solar farm.

As the Hickory Record reports, the North Carolina city of Claremont has given the project the go-ahead, and is expected to take around five years to complete. This is Apple’s third solar farm in Catawba County.
