Video and photo slideshow creator Animoto has partnered with Vimeo to launch Animoto Pro Premium, a new tier of its subscription plans targeted at small-to-medium-sized businesses.
Animoto said today that its latest offering makes professional quality video “more accessible than ever”. A key upgrade is that it allows businesses to create higher-quality videos with the ease that Animoto is known for, and then to market or sell these videos to other businesses.
Animoto Pro Premium’s success will no doubt lie in its collaboration with Vimeo PRO – which offers users an unlimited number of HD uploads and third-party video player support, among other features – as businesses can now create full-length, high-definition and commercially-licensed videos via the platform. Videos created using Animoto Pro Premium will be showcased in 1080p – the highest resolution offered yet. Users will also get access to more video styles designed for businesses, as well as a selection of more than 3,000 music tracks from top licensors.
It is little wonder that the price of Animoto Pro Premium, at an annual subscription fee of $499, is more than double that of the Pro plan on a monthly basis.
“Partnering with Vimeo to include Vimeo PRO was a natural fit with the offering as it’s the go-to tool for any business or creative professional serious about showcasing, streaming and measuring video content,” said Brad Jefferson, Animoto CEO and co-founder.
Animoto Pro Premium will also allow users to monetize their videos in an easier manner. Besides being able to build their personal branding into video post-rolls and including a customized call-to-action button within their videos, video creators will also have access to video viewing analytics.
Founded in 2006, Animoto is based in New York City, and also has an office in San Francisco. Early this year, the company crossed its fifth-year mark and announced that it has surpassed six million registered users and 30 million created videos.
Users can download the Animoto app to either an Android or iOS device, or try the free version of the service online. If you want to produce anything longer than 30 seconds though, you will need to sign up to one of Animoto’s price plans, which start at $2.50 per month, or $30 for the year.
