Android vs iPhone 4 Signal Strength; a graphic explanation.

Android vs iPhone 4 Signal Strength; a graphic explanation.

Though Apple may be dodging the issue with the iPhone 4’s signal strength problems, it does at least seem that some of the issues come from a falsely inflated signal indicator.

After a couple of sites have done some research, Metalev gives us this graphic that shows the differences in how Android devices show their signal versus how the iPhone 4 does:

What we see, in the graphic, is that the iPhone 4 represents having 5 full signal bars while pulling a signal that is less than half of the available strength.  While the Android OS isn’t much better in that regard, we’re also not hearing mass screams about Android devices dropping call.  Clearly, the entire issue with the iPhone 4 doesn’t revolve around a falsely inflated signal, but this is worth a gander and a chuckle, regardless.
