Amazon’s employee No. 1 counters MacKenzie Bezos’s one-star review of The Everything Store

Amazon’s employee No. 1 counters MacKenzie Bezos’s one-star review of The Everything Store

Amazon’s first employee, Shel Kaphan, has weighed in on Brad Stone’s book “The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon,” countering MacKenzie Bezos’s one-star review with a four-star rating of his own, as noted by AllThingsD. Kaphan pointed out a few minor errors, while noting that the book is “at least as accurate as it is possible to be at this great a remove.”

“The Everything Store” offers a rare in-depth look at Amazon, and has even managed to elicit a response from the company, which is notorious for its blanket “no comment” responses. Stone himself replied to Bezos earlier on Tuesday in a Bloomberg Businessweek post.
