Amazon has launched a new delivery option for Prime subscribers in the UK today called Amazon Pantry.
The service, which follows a limited trial of AmazonFresh, has around 4,000 items available at launch from a range of categories, including: food and drink, household supplies, baby and child care, pet, and health and beauty products.
Delivery options are slightly different to Amazon’s standard approach – you can fill up a box with items up to a total weight of 20KG. The first box costs £2.99 for delivery, but additional ones are 99p each.
While Amazon Now already let you order some of these items already, Pantry has a far larger selection of household goods and edibles. It’s also available nationwide, whereas Now is not.
That’s one more reason to leave the house gone.
