Airtame’s Chromecast-like HDMI dongle for the enterprise starts shipping today

Airtame’s Chromecast-like HDMI dongle for the enterprise starts shipping today

Airtame‘s HDMI streaming dongle, similar to Google’s Chromecast, is due to start shipping to early backers of its Indiegogo campaign from last year to begin beta testing.

The project raised an impressive $1.3 million on Indiegogo after setting out with an initial goal of $160,000, clearly proving demand for its business-focused, platform agnostic answer to wireless HDMI streaming.

Billed as the enterprises’s answer to the Chromecast, its strength lies in its claimed multi-platform credentials – Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android and Windows Phone are all supported, allowing you to easily send your screen to any HDMI-equipped display.

As it’s primarily aimed at businesses, there’s also a dashboard to provide you with control over multiple devices from one machine.
