In all of its improbability, the ‘Rayman’ franchise has become a lasting, endearing part of gaming culture. Debuting in 1995 on (of all places) the Atari Jaguar, the original platformer found success on the PlayStation and grew to be featured on home computers as well as home and handheld consoles. Now, after finding unique traction in mobile, the original game is now coming to iOS tomorrow.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the limbless hero with a ’90s haircut, Rayman spends most of the original game hopping through treacherous lands to free cages full of the kidnapped Electoons. It’ll be interesting to see how the mobile version copes with the game’s more tedious platforming challenges, as mobile players don’t get the luxury of precision controls.
But for those looking for candy-coated nostalgia to tickle your brain, keep your eyes peeled.
