Learn all you need to know about AI in just 6 minutes with Snips

Learn all you need to know about AI in just 6 minutes with Snips

If you think artificial intelligence was huge in 2016, just wait. While you can’t discount the achievements made by AI in the past year — autonomous driving, AlphaGo’s victories, the world’s saddest assistant — 2017 stands to best each of them. And we’ve started with January off with a bang (and an AI that’s now $800,000 richer, sorta).

All of this pales in comparison to what’s to come. As amazing as current AI seems, it’s a compounding effect that uses previous advancements to build upon the last until AI ultimately starts to learn from its mistakes and get smarter than every.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself. Sorry, AI is an exciting topic for me.

Snips wants to make it more exciting by offering an easy-to-digest course on the basics of AI in just six minutes. It’s not a course for programmers or uber nerds who know AI inside and out, but for the casual tech observer — and even most people that read TNW — there’s a lot to learn in Snips’ beautiful web course.

In the course, you’ll learn about some of the most oft-used buzzwords and jargon, as well as exploring statistics and trends worth knowing about as the world becomes more AI-driven. The six minute course uses a simple scrolling design that makes it easy to just sit, read and marvel at all that AI has accomplished — and will continue to accomplish in the coming years. Best of all, it’s free.
