5 reasons you should attend The Future of Mobile Conference in London [Ticket Discount]

5 reasons you should attend The Future of Mobile Conference in London [Ticket Discount]

It’s fair to say we’ve now entered the decade of mobile. And what better way for mobile designers, developers and entrepreneurs to be inspired to excel than to network and mix with those already, well, excelling? And that’s where The Future of Mobile Conference (FOM) may just help.

Running on Friday, 16th September 2011, FOM is a one-day event aimed at mobile designers, developers and entrepreneurs. There will be world class speakers and visionaries on hand to deliver insights on HTML5, gaming, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and more.

The Next Web has teamed up with the conference organizers to offer some special discount tickets too, but before we get to that, here’s 5 reasons why you may want to consider attending the Future of Mobile Conference.

1. The People

We’ve alluded to this already, but the likes of Kevin Systrom (Instagram), James Pearce (Sencha), Dominic Szablewsk (impact), Daniel Appelquist (Vodafone), Petra Soderling (MobileBrainBank), Brian LeRoux (PhoneGap), Ben Milne (Dwolla) will be speaking at the conference.

2. You’ll not miss a thing…

The FOM conference may only be a day long, but a quick glance at the event schedule reveals that it’s adopting a two-track approach – so there’s a double-stream of speakers in different rooms at the same time. Two for the price of one, that’s great, but it’s quite the dilemma if you want to see two speakers that are on at the same time.

However, you’ll receive free videos of ALL the sessions from both the tracks, so not only will you not miss a thing, you’ll also have a record of the sessions that you WERE at.

3. You’ll be well looked after…

If you’ve ever completed one of those post-conference cards that asks you what you thought about it, it’s often the little things that immediately spring to mind. High-speed Wi-Fi access and endless streams of coffee will sometimes be the first things that spring to mind as you pen your thoughts on that little feedback card.

With that in mind, the FOM conference will have plenty of the caffeinated good stuff, not to mention a pretty tasty lunch and FREE high speed Wi-Fi on tap.

4. A good location, and avoid the queues…

The Future of Mobile conference will be taking place at the Mermaid Conference Centre, in London’s West End area on the north bank of the Thames. It’s in a pretty good location with great transport Links, and to cap it off you can avoid all the queues by going to a pre-registration meet-up the night before.

5. The after party…mingle with the experts

The event is on a Friday, which means it’s not a school night. The post-conference ‘wrap party’ offers free drinks and the chance to mingle with the speakers and fellow attendees, and chat about the day’s events, your own projects and any other ideas you have.

And now the TNW discount…

Okay, this probably qualifies as a sixth reason to attend the FOM conference, but what the hell.

The Next Web readers will receive a 20% discount on the conference ticket price, meaning the normal £294 face value is thus reduced to £235. Simply go to register, select how many tickets you want, hit the ‘Click here to enter a promotion code’ button, and enter the code: FOMTNW.
