3beards expands its startup event schedule to Amsterdam, Prague and Manchester

3beards expands its startup event schedule to Amsterdam, Prague and Manchester

London-based startup events, promotions and content company 3beards is expanding its operations by taking its events international with new entries for Amsterdam and Prague, as well as Manchester in the UK.

It’s the first time the team will organize events – such as its ‘Silicon Drinkabout’, ‘Don’t Pitch Me, Bro’, and ‘Digital Sizzle’ – outside of its base in London.

“We’ve spent the past two years working hard to provide the London startup community with the kind of support, access, insight, feedback, connections, exposure and credibility that we hope will enable it to grow, progress and succeed,” Bryce Keane, co-founder of 3beards, said.

““Our vision has always been to build strong, inter-connected, start-up communities across Europe that foster closer collaboration. We hope, one day, that you can go to any city in Europe and, if it’s Friday and you’re in start-up, you know you can go along to the Silicon Drinkabout in that location and meet like-minded people from the local tech scene and share ideas,” Keane added.

The international expansion will see its popular Friday night event ‘Silicon Drinkabout’ take place in Amsterdam in August and Prague in September. The launches follow a ‘beta’ of the same event held in Copenhagen last month in conjunction with startup sales specialists Sussd.it acting as partners.

As well as expanding overseas, the 3beards gang will also be taking its events to Manchester for the first time, with the first Silicon Drinkabout set to be held on 5 July at Takk Coffee House. It will be run in collaboration with Shaun Gibson and Doug Ward of Tech Britain and NightWorld, who also co-founded TechHub Manchester, along with TNW Managing Editor Martin Bryant.

The news follows a concerted effort from the team to grow and centralize its business and events. Just last month, 3beards hired its first web developer to rebuild its various online portals.

The team are also welcoming applications from other startup event organizers in other cities around the world who want to run Silicon Drinkabouts of their own. It also notes that having a beard is not compulsory for event organizers.
