Microsoft offers $25 Windows Store gift card with new Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 PC purchase in the US

Microsoft today announced a new deal for US consumers looking to buy a new PC or tablet. As long as your new computer is running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, you’ll also get a promotional $25 Windows Store gift card (for buying apps and games directly from the Windows Store, the Windows Phone Store, and select Xbox stores).

The company says the offer will run until December 28, 2013, or until promotional gift card supplies run out. The other rule is that the computer has to be purchased from a participating US retailer, including Amazon.com, Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics, Staples, Newegg.com, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart.com, or the Microsoft Store. The promotional gift card code must be redeemed by February 28, 2014, and the funds from the card must be spent within 120 days after that.
