At its hardware launch event last month, Google unveiled Wifi, a smart router that can pair up with a bunch more to offer strong and seamless wireless internet connectivity across your entire home.
The router promises quick and easy setup, and pairs with an app to let you share your Wi-Fi password with guests, prioritize bandwidth for specific devices and use parental controls to restrict access at bedtime.
If you’re in the US, you can now pre-order Google WiFi from the company’s online store; $129 nets you a single device and $300 scores you a 3-pack (good for spaces between 3,000 and 4,500 sq. ft.).
It’ll also become available at Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart subsequently, and ship next month.
