Becky Stern and Phillip Burgess over at Adafruit put together the simple guide to building your own wearable using the Arduino-like Gemma micro-controller, a vibrating mini disc motor and a handful of other affordable components.

You’ll find the full recipe at the link below. If you can handle a bit of precise soldering, you’ll easily be able put together a really cheap alternative to the Apple Watch, that will remind you to leave your desk just as efficiently.
