Virgílio founded SWORD Health during his PhD in electrical engineering with the aim to change physical rehabilitation and develop the industry’s first digital therapy offering. Virgílio holds multiple patents, has co-authored more than 40 research papers, and has founded several other startups from his home city of Porto, Portugal.
