Legora’s CEO says Europe should not build a frontier AI lab
Legora co-founder Max Junestrand told Politico that warnings about AI going rogue are mostly marketing, and that Europe should not try to build a frontier lab of its own. Bloomberg reported the same day that his company is in talks to raise at $8.5bn.

Anthropic is paying the firm that will evaluate it, and says in the same announcement that this is not how it should work.
The evaluator is Accenture, already the largest deployment of Claude Code Anthropic has. There are still no standards for what embedded evaluators may see, or what they must report.

OpenAI has published the document behind its promise to open models to outside safety assessors. It sets out four areas for review and seven principles for the work. Labs would get time to fix findings before publication, and may request redactions.
