The TNW Hack Battle is back and better than ever

For the code-savvy among us, TNW Conference is just as famous for its Hack Battle as it is for its stellar speakers and unique networking opportunities.

That’s why we’re super excited to announce that on May 25-26, we’re once again bringing together the best developers, designers and digital creatives from around the world to build some amazing hacks. Get ready for 36 hours of hacking, networking and fun!

The Internet of Things

This year’s Hack Battle will be all about IoT. Thanks to our hardware partners, you’ll be able to play around with a variety of connected products and use them in your project. Take apart, tweak and reassemble to your heart’s desire!

The 💜 of EU tech

This year, we’re blessed with Amazon Web Services as our co-host, and we’ve managed to secure the following amazing  API and Hardware partners:

Our annual hack battle is so popular for a reason, so we won’t be changing a winning formula – just improving it. It will still last 36 hours and be held in Amsterdam’s beautiful Westerunie building – the perfect setting for 36 hours of unbridled productivity. This year, however, we’re able to welcome more hackers, offer better prizes, and provide top-of-the-line products for you to get get your hands dirty with.

As always, at #TNWEurope 2016, our API Partners will also form part of our Hack Battle jury. Each team will get to present their hacks to the expert panel (as well as a huge audience) during the Hack Battle’s grande finale – on stage at TNW Conference.

Aside from the awesome opportunity to present your hacks on stage, we’ll do our best to keep you well-fueled until the final minutes. You’ll find finger-licking free food and drinks available around the (36-hour) clock, comfortable spaces for power naps in between integrating APIs and fixing inevitable bugs, and the chance to slip away for an inspirational talk or two over at our conference stages.

Those who have experienced our Hack Battles know exactly why people are so excited to return – it’s an intimate mix of fun, productivity, caffeine and, above all, extreme geeking out.

We loved some of the hacks you came up with last year (take a look at 11 of our favorites here), and that you always seem to have a great, albeit sleep-depraved, time.
