In-Flight Wi-Fi – Alaska Air Edition

In-Flight Wi-Fi – Alaska Air Edition

alaskaMore good news for us the travelling masses in the United States, in-flight wireless internet is coming to Alaska airlines.

Like Southwest and so many othesr, Alaska will be working with Aircell’s Gogo service to bring tubes to the wings. This is yet another plank in the wi-fi everywhere platform that we all hope takes off on US airlines. We want this now, not tomorrow.

Alaska will be charing $4.95 and up depending on flight length. Of course, we will eventually have price competition for in-flight internet, but for a few bucks it is hardly a high fee for speedin’ internet in the air.

No word on when they will have it all done.
