Do you live in the UK, love sports and own a Roku streaming device? If your answer to all of the above is yes, we have some good news to brighten up your end-of-season blues.

The BBC today launched a dedicated BBC Sport app in the Roku Channel Store, giving fans the opportunity to track the latest news and stream the latest matches over the internet. There should be “hundreds of videos” available at launch and it offers a basic menu to help you filter content by sport or region.

Given that the FIFA World Cup is just around the corner, the timing really couldn’t be better. The BBC will be showing live coverage for 31 matches this summer, so this could be a useful way to track the tournament.
