Online auction site eBay has re-aligned its fee structures for UK users, allowing private sellers to list up to 20 items for free per month for private sellers.

From May 13,  UK eBayers can start using this allowance of 20 free listings to list items from any category, except Motors. After 20 have been used, the new flat structure of 35 pence per listing will then kick in for any subsequent auctions or fixed-price format sales.

While simplification of the fee structure will likely be welcomed by many private sellers, it’s not quite such good news for high-volume, low-price vendors – the old structure allowed for up to 100 free listings per month for items with a starting price of under £1.
