O2 partners with Mi-Pay to offer new automatic top-up services

UK mobile operator O2 has partnered with leading mobile money company Mi-Pay to offer its eight million customers a new range of new automatic top-up services, allowing Pay & Go customers to better manage their call credit.

Mi-Pay will deliver weekly or monthly low-balance auto top-up services for customers who use their credit or debit cards to add money to their Pay & Go balances, providing a simple online platform that allows users to set up and manage balance top-ups using O2’s existing online portal.

Payments are processed via Mi-Pay’s PCI DSS certified platform which ensures the safe handling and processing of consumers’ financial and card data, minimising the likelihood of fraud and ensuring all payments are protected.

Jonathan Earle, Head of Consumer at O2, said:

“We know our Pay & Go customers want to stay connected to their friends and family. This service allows our customers to keep control of their spending but with confidence that they won’t run out of call credit.’
