The Motorola Milestone, or Droid as it’s known in the US, is finally confirmed to be available in the UK within 5 days.
E-Retailer Expansys has confirms the date on their website (via a link from the official Motorola Milestone microsite).
The Milestone will be the first handset powered by Android 2.0 and will come with a 60 day free trial of MOTONAV – a turn-by-turn Sat Nav using Google Maps.
Almost a month has passed since the official launch of the Droid in the US, and more than 250,000 people picked up a Droid in the first week of sales alone.
Early tests of the Droid have been largely positive, with critics paying specially attention to the phone’s navigation capabilities, its full QWERTY keyboard, and its lush screen display, which bests the iPhone in terms of resolution.
The handset costs £449.99 contract-free, prices on contract have yet to be confirmed.

can’t wait to get my Milestone shipped to Holland!! I’ve ordered it last weekend from Expansys. This is a total package. You get a beautifull design, good lay out and always updating OS. I love Android for it’s open nature and customization. Everybody can make their own Android phone to their likings. It has a great processor and thank g*d a phone with fysical keyboard! Love it!
