UK Radio Station, Absolute Radio, has launched an innovative service for listeners which will allow them to ‘tag’ songs they hear on the station, find out what the track is called and then purchase it through the iTunes store.
The iPod Nano, features a built-in FM radio with iTunes Tagging, you can listen to the radio (On 105.8FM in London), hear a great song, and tag it for when you next sync your iPod. Back on iTunes you can can then preview and purchase the song(s) if you so wish.
Absolute Radio DJ Christian O’Connell said, “Never again will people face the humiliation of trying to sing a song to their friends that they don’t know the name of. We can all be clued up music experts at the touch of a button and the new tagging service is such a simple but genius idea.
Absolute Radio partnered with Unique Interactive, part of UBC Media, and Jump2Go for the initiative.
