Play this adventure game using nothing but tweets

When it comes to procrastination, Twitter is pretty much a haven. And now, pixel artist Leon (aka @Leyawn) has created the ultimate time wasting tool – an adventure game played entirely through tweets.

The game’s hero is a little bird, who might look familiar to anyone who’s played the Nintendo classic Yoshi’s Island. You have to guide him through a day where he is faced with a lot of challenges and some monsters, depending on the route you choose.

Each tweet presents you with a GIF of the situation and gives you a choice of which path to take, represented by a different account. There are hidden surprises and a few dead ends, so it’s worth taking the time to explore your options.

The 💜 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

I have played it through a few times now and it’s clever, entertaining and genuinely funny, which is better than most things we see on Twitter anyway.

So, if you have a few minutes to spare or your attention span is dwindling, give it a spin.
