Twitter’s Biz Stone is writing a book about his business experiences

Biz Stone took a backwards step at Twitter last summer, and it seems the Twitter co-founder is putting some of his new-found time to good use by penning a book on his experiences before, during and after founding the microblogging platform.

As MediaBistro reports, Twitter’s Creative Director is putting his musings into book form, with the title apparently going to be Things A Little Bird Told Me.

He’ll discuss his brief time working at Google as well as his latest venture, The Obvious Corporation, which he re-founded with Evan Williams and Jason Goldman in 2011. This is the company where Twitter incubated, but there weren’t any other names that came out of it that you’re likely to know.

The idea for Obvious was that it was a place where the three could develop multiple companies and only answer to themselves. When Twitter gained critical mass in 2007, Obvious took a back seat.

“I’ve found that my experiences resonate with a very wide array of individuals at different stages in their lives,” said Stone in a statement. “I’m excited to create a physical artifact to share the lessons I’ve learned.”

This isn’t Stone’s first foray into the authoring sphere, having previously produced two books, both on the same subject: Blogging: Genius Strategies for Instant Web Content (New Riders, 2002); and Who Let The Blogs Out? (St Martins, 2004).

According to MediaBistro, the book will be published by Hachette’s Grand Central Publishing in April 2014.
