Twitter updates iOS App just in time for iOS 5 integration

Twitter updates iOS App just in time for iOS 5 integration

The updates just keep coming. Along with the slew of apps being updated for the coming iOS 5 upgrade comes Twitter’s improved iOS app. Version 3.5.0 claims to have an enhanced sign up experience, full integration of Twitter’s picture service (pic.twitter.com), as well as an updated Direct Message design for iPad which sorts DMs in chronological order as well as by thread.

You can now also tap locations via iPad, a feature that will show tweets from nearby — that is, assuming users have enabled location sharing via tweets. A few bug fixes and minor enhancements have also been added to better fine-tune the service pending tomorrow’s iOS release.

We gave you a first look at Twitter’s iOS 5 integration back in June. These recent enhancements come just before Apple’s iOS 5 releases Wednesday on October 12th, most likely prepping Twitter for the official transition to the new iOS. To download the update, head on over to the App store.
