Twitter has been seen, by the savvy media, as a great source for relaying and finding information. But now, Twitter itself has given us even better guidance for using the service and its features in order to help more stories reach more people.
With a new site called Twitter for Newsrooms, you’ll find a wealth of information from ways to verify sources to the “accepted” standards for embedding Tweets into your stories.

Browsing each section, you’ll find great tips and tricks for newsrooms that are looking to use Twitter to branch out their stories. The sections cover topics including Twitter client suggestions, how to more effectively use Twitter on mobile devices and even some suggestions for partners to make your story come to life.
Interestingly, Twitter even goes into some more technological answers, highlighting its recent launch of the Web Intents code and the previously-handy Blackbird Pie embedding options. Many of the links inside of Twitter for Newsrooms will take you to the Twitter Help Center, where deeper explanations are given, such as this example for Twitter’s guidelines for use of Tweets.
For most of us that are used to operating in the digital age, the information on Twitter for Newsrooms is second nature. For those publications looking to make the transition, it should prove to be an invaluable source. Kudos to Twitter for self-realization.

Ignore the fact that it’s presently 404′ing…Thanks Twitter :P

I guess nobody at Twitter has spent much time around journalists. That copy is way too optimistic and idealistic for a journalist’s cynical stomach.
“But you share a common bond: the desire to make a difference in the world,” seriously?
No mention of the problem of arbitrary tweet limits for liveblogging reporters.
that sucks , some times our Arab countries seems like bunch of dummies
