TweetDeck Releases ChromeDeck “Your Shiny New Friend”

TweetDeck Releases ChromeDeck “Your Shiny New Friend”

TweetDeck has just released ChromeDeck, their web-based version of TweetDeck with the launch of the brand new Google Web Store, which we wrote about moments ago.

Google Chrome users can now visit the Web Store to download their new, completely free product.

From the TweetDeck Blog:

“ChromeDeck” is a huge step forward in terms of design and flexibility. We have taken some of the best aspects of our award-winning desktop client and melded them with the best design and features from our hugely successful Android app, to make a state-of-the-art app web app, built on technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript, that marks the beginning of a new phase for TweetDeck.

TweetDeck notes that updates are on their way and that ChromeDeck is not a complete replacement for their existing desktop client.  Similar web apps that will run in Firefox and Safari will be coming soon.

Check out a few of ChromeDeck’s new features:

  • Combined Columns, similar to the Android app.
  • Inline reply
  • Inline images, no need to click for a preview
